Straw Mulch - Blown or Strewn

Geopro Matrix offers outstanding blown or hand-strewn straw tackification performance due to its unique blend of organic fibers and strong, long-lasting Silt Stop^® binder. It holds straw down at contact - no cure time needed - and grows stronger with both wetting and drying cycles. As a composite system, Geopro Matrix loads and mixes well, shoots evenly from either tower or hose, and simply provides outstanding results: minimum mulch movement, optimum erosion protection, strong nutrient retention and increased stormwater infiltration.

Geopro Basis Plus is an economical, field-proven blend of recycled paper and the venerable Silt Stop 705 binder. It too works at first contact as it requires no cure time. Silt Stop^® is a family of powerful, environmentally safe polymer blends used to tack blown or hand-strewn mulches, compost and other organic surface coverings. Silt Stop creates strong, long-lasting bonds between mulching particulates, between mulch materials and underlying soils and between soil particles. This multiple layer bonding not only produces reliable soil covers, but also renders runoff water in a ‘clarified’ condition, significantly free of suspended particles.

Whether applied hydraulically over a mulch, broadcast on a fine mulch or mixed with blown compost, Silt Stop works immediately - no curing time is required - resulting in real protection over a wide range of weather conditions and time constraints. Not only quick to perform, Silt Stop continues to perform, typically for 2-4 months.
