V-Logs provide extended-term, temporary erosion protection to shorelines, wetland perimeters, channel waterlines and stream banks from wave and current stresses prior to plant establishment. In addition, they offer an ideal medium for establishing emergent plant species in these otherwise difficult environments.

Manufactured by Venture Fibre Company, V-Logs are available in a wide variety of diameters, lengths and densities, allowing flexibility in performance, installation requirements and economics. Because they are manufactured in the U.S., order quantities can be site specific with short lead times.

And V-Logs are available with pre-established vegetation, giving just-completed projects a significant head-start towards a mature plant stand. In addtion, using pre-established logs significantly increases installation speed and ease, important factors when using personnel not experienced in working with live plants along shoreline environments or when weather conditions are variable. And, plant survival rates increase dramatically using pre-established logs - attrition due to poor weather conditions and waterfowl 'plucking' are both minimized.
