EnviroBerm® provides energy dissipation and in-line sedimentation functions for concentrated stormwater flows, replacing rock for most check dam applications. Composed of permeable, synthetic panels and securing pins, EnviroBerm is easy to install, transport, store, and reuse - making it the economical choice for single or multiple applications.

The unique parallel panels of EnviroBerm provide sufficient flow resistance to produce up-gradient ponding and settlement of large to medium sized suspended soil particles. When using EnviroBerm checks dams in series, significant sediment deposits in accessible ditches or swales, reducing the effects on down-gradient basins, waterways or land. When the paired panels are placed sufficiently close, an EnviroBerm check dam system functions to reduce erosion stresses and damage to protected swales and ditches.

When used in roadside ditches or highway medians, EnviroBerm check dams offer safety to motorists compared to rock check dams. Unlike a solid rock mass, EnviroBerm is pushed over by vehicles, presenting significantly lower risk to both occupants and vehicles.

Similar to EnviroBerm, Triangular Silt Dike™ offers in-ditch and in-swale sediment load reduction, reduced erosion stresses, removal ease and roadside safety. Fabricated into sections utilizing a triangular foam interior and geotextile sleeve with both up- and down-gradient aprons, Triangular Silt Dike offers unique performance characteristics. The down-gradient splash apron eliminates channel/swale bottom erosion at the product toe. Its up-gradient skirt forces concentrated flows to pond against the structure rather than seeping beneath, enabling settlement of suspended solids and erosion stress reduction. And Triangular Silt Dike is easily removed without heavy equipment or subsequent high restorative costs.
